Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Knot Software ("we," "us," or "our"), a company based in Georgia, United States, governing your use of the StashIQ mobile application ("App") and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

By downloading, installing, or using StashIQ, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

StashIQ is a collection management application for plastic scale model enthusiasts. The Service allows users to:

• Browse and search a catalog of plastic scale model kits and accessories
• Track personal collections (Stash, Wish List, and Built lists)
• Identify model kits via barcode scanning and AI-assisted product matching
• Submit product information to contribute to the catalog (subject to admin review)
• Share collections publicly via a shareable link
• View affiliate retailer pricing and availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration

Certain features require you to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information when registering
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
• Notify us immediately at support@iqsuite.co if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Subscription Tiers

StashIQ offers one free tier and three paid subscription tiers: Collector, Trader, and Professional. Features and limits differ by tier as described in the App. The free tier is supported by advertising; paid tiers are ad-free.

Billing and Auto-Renewal

Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your payment method on file with Apple or Google will be charged at the start of each billing period.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to paid features until that date. We do not issue prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

Refunds

All subscription purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will be communicated to you in advance through the App or by email. Continued use of the subscription after a price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.

Inactive Accounts

If your paid subscription lapses, your account reverts to free-tier limits. Your collection data, wish lists, and any for-sale listings are retained. For-sale listings are suspended until an eligible subscription is renewed.

5. User-Generated Content

Your Content

You may submit product information (kit names, manufacturers, product codes, descriptions, box photographs) via the barcode scanner ("Submissions"). You retain ownership of any original content you create, but by submitting it you grant Knot Software a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display that content in connection with operating and improving the Service, including in the public product catalog.

Submission Review

All Submissions are subject to admin review before appearing in the public catalog. We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any Submission at our discretion. High-confidence AI matches may be automatically added to the catalog and flagged for review.

Content Standards

You agree not to submit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, infringing on third-party intellectual property, or otherwise unlawful. Repeated submission of inaccurate or inappropriate content may result in account suspension.

Public Collections

If you enable public collection sharing, your display name and collection contents become visible to all users and unauthenticated visitors. You are responsible for the content you make publicly visible. You may revert to a private collection at any time.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, our servers, or any data you are not authorized to access
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise systematically extract data from the Service without our written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent feature limits or restrictions

7. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code, logo, and all content we create are owned by Knot Software or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without our written permission.

Product names, manufacturer names, and kit artwork referenced in the catalog are the property of their respective owners. StashIQ's use of this information is for informational purposes only and does not imply endorsement by or affiliation with those manufacturers.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may display links to third-party retailers and affiliate partners ("Where to Buy" listings). These links are provided for your convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for the content, pricing, availability, or practices of any third-party website. Purchases made through affiliate links may earn Knot Software a commission at no additional cost to you.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

The product catalog is community-contributed and may contain inaccuracies. We make no representations about the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of catalog data. Retailer pricing and availability data is provided for informational purposes and may not reflect current conditions.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KNOT SOFTWARE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $10 USD.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Knot Software and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your Submissions, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users or third parties, or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the App.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 14 survive termination.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@knotsoftware.com and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, for significant changes, by providing notice within the App or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

15. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement — These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Knot Software regarding the Service.
• Severability — If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• Waiver — Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
• Assignment — You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
